The first day was driven in an immensely beautiful car; the driver dropped us at Yuksom which is the starting point of the Goechala trek. This historical village which again look so attractive is situated in among the forest and higher hills. During the first day, in the early morning, groups are occupied with the journey to the camp and the accommodation to the conditions in the place.

Day2. Yuksom to Sacnhen, Sachen at 7,200 ft,

The actual trek consequently starts as soon as one reaches the first pace to the target through the trail which passes mainly through the oaks, the pines, and the rhododendrons. The crest is not at all steep, it even has elevation gains, or better, it runs alongside the Rathong River most of the time. Sachen, is the first halt or to put it in mountaineering terms, first camp site and it comes after around four to five hours of trekking.

Day3: Sachen to Tshoka 3050 meters

Finally on the third day of this hike there is forest and on this day you find your self crossing as many suspension bridges as you can imagine. Due to this, the density of the hills tend to rise with altitude, the vegetation type and form of the scenery change and you are able to see other adjacent hills. The following night you will spend in the small Tibetan village of Tshoka which, despite a quite warm climate during a day, can get quite chilly at night. Ensure that the time you spend before getting to leave the area you have taken your rime to visit the monasteries and watch and of cause taste the people.

Day4. Tshoka to Dzongri – or it is also possible to start early from Tshoka to Dzongri directly which will take about 7hours , 10 km 4043meter

It can be derived as one of the most severe but rewarding portions of the trekking. The trail is inclined most of the time and there are even steep areas on the way through the forests and other areas of the trail passes through the meadows. Lunch is taken at Dzongri and the view which this place has to offer of Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru and the Kanchenjunga is beauty to behold.

This is the most difficult day of the entire trekking though it is very much interesting to undertake it as well. Starting from the early morning even up to the Goechala pass. Samiti Lake is a deep blue lake that lies deep amidst rocks and is passed over by the trail. Getting weary with all the endeavours we traverse the Goechala Pass and there is Kanchenjunga in front of me. After enjoy the view, You will get descend to lamuney and have some meals then Thangsing, if you had enough of the views for the day and spend the night here.

Day9: Thangsing to Tshoka under the olive arches of the Rododendron shrubs.

Day 10: Tshoka to Yuksom Covering half the distance in approx 6 hours or less of trekking, we reach the small beautiful town of Yuksom, which was once the capital of Sikkim.

And on the last day it is coming down to Yuksom and, therefore, completing this splendid tour. Enjoying the success of the trek and the achievement you have acquired is fairly simple and possible if you are sharing it with other trekkers at Yuksom.

Day11. On the 11th day of the treks from Yuksom the trekkers vacated the place.
