Itinerary For Goechala Trek.
Day 1:
Adventurers arrive at the Bagdogra Airport and embark upon a 7-hour 150-kilometer journey to Yuksom. On arrival, the process is straightforward:
Check into the hotel and register;
Enjoy a delicious dinner;
Prepare for a briefing regarding the thrilling activities.
Day 2:
Involves the trek from Yuksom to Sachen amidst the verdant beauty of Kanchenjunga National Park's forest cover and the stunning views of far-away snow-capped mountains. The trek involves walking over wooden bridges hanging above flowing streams and ends at the point of Sachen Camp.
Day 3:
Hike to Tshoka. The hike from Sachen to Tshoka provides a balanced combination of nature's splendor, greenery, the calming sound of the surrounding streams, and the occasional glimpse of snow-capped mountains through the forest. Tshoka with giant rhododendron trees surrounding it is the best place where one can relax and enjoy the multicolored sunsets.
Day 4:
Is a challenging hike from Tshoka to Dzongri through dense forest and boulder tracks with beautiful scenery and rhododendron flowers. Once we are settled in Dzongri, the tent is placed amidst serene surroundings for a serene night under the starry sky.
Day 5:
The group will have a day's rest at Dzongri before embarking on the hike to Dzongri La Pass. The trip offers excellent scenery of the Himalayas and Kanchenjunga with steep slopes and rough trails. A break and taking time to reflect about the past before returning back to Dzongri is recommended.
Day 5:
The trekkers head from Dzongri to Thansing through Kokchurang following a route meandering through lovely meadows and woods, setting the tranquil mood for the next few days.
Day 7:
The hikers head from Thangsing towards the first vantage point of Goechala and back. The path is a test of the strength and determination of the trekkers but is rewarded with a stunning panorama of the Himalayas.
Day 8:
Trekkers coming back from Thangsing towards Tshoka feel a sense of familiarity with the path but enjoy the shifting natural beauty in the opposite order.
Day 9 concludes with the return from Tshoka back to Yuksom with introspective discussions with fellow travelers regarding the lovely scenery and collective achievements experienced during this wonderful trip.
Day 9:
The trip will be completed with a trip from Yuksom to either Bagdogra Airport or NJP. It's a day reflecting upon the wonderful journey, the stunning sunrises, the new strength and bonds established, deeply etching the spirit of the Goechala trip into their hearts.
