Sandakphu Tour Package by Off Road Land Rover

Generally your tour will commence from NJP or the Baghdogra Airport where our representative will meet you. After that you have to take a jeeps that takes 4 hours scenic drive in a Land Rover right up to Manebhanjang, which is the starting point for Sandakphu trek. The small town is so energetic that it is a right place to start a trek to Sandakphu if you want to go for Trekking trail. Accommodation : This evening will be devoted to preparations for the ascent after which their local culinary specialties will be served

Drive from Manebhanjang to Tumling through the thrilling track, if not take a jeep. This is really challenging and stunning drive on off-road with the stunning performance of Land Rover, which carefully negotiates steep and rough terrains. Tumling is a very small place located in a remote area sliding through the border of India and Nepal and is perfect for Himalayas dawn view. It would be better if you spend the night in Tumling in order to listen the silence of the mountains during night. We continue our trek and reach Tumling Village which is 6 km away from our base at Gorumara Forest where we halt for lunch and take ample rest before proceeding on the steep climb of 7 km that takes almost 5 hours to get to Sandakphu.

The trek from Tumling to Sandakphu is in fact the most interesting part of this entire tour. Gradually the forest subtype alters and the tops are offering wonderful vistas of the Eastern Himalayas and Kanchenjunga. After 7 km of hiking reaching Sandakphu at an altitude of 3566 meters one experience one of the most beautiful views of towering peaks in the world. It is recommended that a person get to spend some time here getting to take pictures of such marvelous scenery. Staying a night here offers some amount of excellent evenings when one can watch the sky full of stars and hear the great peace of the mountains.

Spend the morning at Sandakphu to see the last view of mountain terrains before driving back to Manebhanjang in the jeep the entire of the time being Land Rover. From Manebhanjang we proceed to the beautiful hill station Darjeeling, most well known for its tea gardens and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Go out in the evening walking around Darjeeling which is a colonial town exhibiting good architecture, markets included.

The next day will be free for you to visit the many more sites of interest in Darjeeling such as the Peace Pagoda,Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park or perhaps take a cup of the world’s finest Darjeeling tea watching the sunrise at Tiger hill. On the other hand, come down to NJP or Baghdogra Airport by your Land Rover and spoilt a really delightful trip through the himalayas.
