Trip Itinerary :

1-2
Arrival Baghdogra airport IXB or Newjalpaiguri Railway station and drive to Gangtok
Start your investigation of North Sikkim by wrapping up your morning at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Starting out from here, drive scenically for about 4-5 hours along 125 kilometers to reach Gangtok, the capital city found at around 1,650 meters (5,410 feet) above sea level. Once you get to Gangtok, it's important to register at your hotel and to take the afternoon for relaxation to aid your adjustment to the elevation. All evening long, discover the energetic M.G. Marg, the center of the city. This dynamic avenue introduces an outstanding first encounter with local culture by offering an array of establishments from which to savor authentic Sikkimese cuisine. Sitting in M.G. Marg for your first day in Sikkim provides a lovely environment that combines relaxation with the excitement for what’s to come.
3-4
Gangtok to Lachen
Get your morning off to a good start with a prompt start and visit Lachen, a serene town at almost 2,750 meters in North Sikkim. In about 108 kilometers from Gangtok, this journey gives spectacular vistas and lets visitors engage closely with nature. As you head to key sites including the view point in Singhik lauded for its stunning Himalayan views, and the Seven Sisters Waterfalls known for their energizing falls of water, keep that in mind. The town of Chungthang Confluence allows you to see where the Lachen and Lachung rivers converge, situated in a breathtaking scenery. Make a point to investigate where you’re staying and have a hearty local meal when you arrive in Lachen in the evening. Located by spectacular mountains, this serene town is the best starting point for discovery of the revered Gurudongmar Lake, distinguished for its spiritual importance and tremendous altitude.
5-6
Going from Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake and on to Lachung
Kick off your third day at sunrise from Lachen, going to admire the wonderful Gurudongmar Lake. About 17,800 feet in elevation, this lake is one of the highest in the world that can be reached by car and is approximately 65 kilometers far from Lachen. There is an alluring duality in the spectacular snowcapped Himalayas providing a stark contrast to the lovely turquoise blue lake which requires such a harsh climate, which appeals to those attracted to the travel experience. Experience the easygoing ambiance of the setting, and breathe in the clean air, all while making your way back to Lachen for lunch. After lunch, go ahead and move to Lachung, a lovely village buried in the mountains, roughly 50 kilometers from Lachen. Come later in the day and adjust to your stay. If you need to relax, take some moments for yourself; if you happen to feel energized, wander through the lovely surroundings of Lachung. With its location in lavish valleys and calm monasteries, the town concludes an invigorating experience in the attractive North Sikkim landscapes, surrounded by a striking mountain view.
7-8
Yumthang and Zero Point – Gangtok are part of the enticing Township of Lachung.
Morning: Take your jeep journey from Lachung and visit Yumthang Valley, found at an elevation of 20000 feet or nearly 25 kilometers away from Lachung. Yumthang, originally called the Valley of Flowers, is a spectacular floral refuge found in higher elevations in spring. Those eager to go a bit deeper can visit Zero Point at the elevation of 4,572 meters, about 50 kilometers from the last waypoint; the snowy peaks are clearly visible from that location. Afternoon: After finishing the tour of the natural sites, it’s possible to head down to Lachung for lunch. After lunch, initiate the come back journey to Gangtok, which is 103 km away. Evening: Reach Gangtok yet again this evening. Arrive at your selected accommodation and take the night to relax and consider the different beautiful/pensive dimensions of your trip. On this day, the seclusion and beauty of Sikkim's peak landscapes coincide with the fortunate relief of returning to the relative comfort of Gangtok – which will be a nice compromise ultimately interesting to a wide range of travelers.
9-10
Gangtok has both the closest airport, at bagdogra (ixb), and the railway station at new jalpaiguri
Morning:After finishing the substantial breakfast at the rooftop restaurant of your hotel in Gangtok, you need to set yourself up for your adventure. After a fulfilling and satisfying breakfast in the restaurant of your hotel in Gangtok, you have to get ready for your journey. Your travel homeward will commence from either Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. If sufficient time is available and you're willing, there is an extra activity: rafting on the Teesta River. This exciting event functions as a splendid adventurous activity, especially when you're paddling through rapids against the backdrop of Sikkim. As the concluding feature of an outstanding experience, it allows for showcasing local spirit from a naturist angle. This day is convenient and stress-free, but it is also a bit daring in the lead-up to the end of the trip.
