By train: The nearest railway station to Yuksom is about 150 kilometers away at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. From there, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Yuksom.

Itinerary

Day 1 (New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Baghdogra airport (IXB) and then to Yuksom, Accomodation only in hotel by triple sharing.)

This trip's altitude is 5700 feet on the first day at Y uksom. The drive from Siliguri to Yuksom is approximately 150 kilometres long and takes approximately 8 hours. Pick up from Siliguri town around 10 a.m. Siliguri is our pick-up location. If you are a foreigner, you will need an Inner Line permit, which must be obtained at Melli check post when travelling from Siliguri Baghdogra airport or NJP rail way station and on the way to the border between Sikkim and West Bengal, which is called Melli check post, there is an option to obtain the permit and continue toward Yuksom. Stay over night at lodges home stay or hotel.

Day 2 (Yuksom to Sachen 8km trek and altitude 7200 feet.)

The trek from Yuksom to Sachen is 8 kilometres long, with an elevation of 7200 feet. There are no good shops along the way, and there are few water sources. As a result, you'd have to bring your lunch with you. You would have to travel through dense forests, climbing up and down. After a half-hour walk from Yuksom, you will come across the Tshokha bridge. You would pass through iron bridges and gradually ascend before having to descend until the second bridge and then ascend again. The campsite is a half-hour walk away. If you were fortunate.
